Quick Q: Anyone ever watched the anime Chobits?

Moving on, once again Tankspot comes through with a pretty good video:

Yet another fight where dealing with adds is more important than dealing with boss. Whee!

So 6 minutes of complete and total chaos trying to deal with adds from hell, followed by killing the boss.

Man this fight looks hard.

So, should we start talking assignments and kill orders?

I re-watched the Tankspot video. A couple things I'm fuzzy on. I may be re-iterating a lot of what everyone already knows, but need some clarification myself.

ENTIRE FIGHT - ranged only kill trees? Do we need others? Seems a waste of time for melee to run after it. They were down pretty quick from what I saw.

PHASE I
There are basically 3 types of mobs to spawn.

1. Type I - all must dies within 5 seconds of each other to prevent re-spawning.
a. Snaplasher - 20 debuffs immobilized - ranged finish off
b. Storm Lasher - needs to be stunned
c. Ancient Water spirit - dps stands behind to avoid surge

Question: Are we splitting into three groups to work these down? If not, is there always a kill order?

2. Type II - Detonating Lashers

Question: Are we AOE'ing these all down to 10-20%, then do we have a strat for killing them off?

I guess as a Pally I would use cons and DS to help get them down, avoiding any other unmanaged single target damage - don't want to blow one up at wrong time. After 10%, should ranged or someone designate kill order?

3. Ancient Conservator - Tank and spank under mushrooms? I saw Nature's Fury can be healed through?

PHASE II
Tank and spank, some kiting to avoid seed bombs. Ranged keep killing trees.

OVERALL QUESTIONS:
1. Are ranged only killing trees?
2. Are we dividing into groups to handle Type I Wave? I would say either we need a specific kill order to 10%, then AOE down, or split into three groups.
3. How do we handle Type II Detonating Lashers? AOE all to 10%, then Ranged/designees pick off?

Thanks!
Eroth

Well, here's the thing. I simply can't kill trees and keep stacks up on Snaplasher at the same time. If I divert attention to trees, stack falls off of Snaplasher and he kills me. Maybe I just suck, but I just can't do it. The debuff falls off of Snaplasher very rapidly without constant damage.

I can probably get the stacks to 20 myself on Snaplasher, I shoot pretty fast so lots of attacks giving lots of stacks. In fact, I could probably keep it on lockdown solo if that's my only duty on that phase, but I'm open for doing anything that I possibly can.

Sorry Nich, didn't mean to put pressure on ya. One toon can only do their share! I guess everyone should switch to Tree, they seem to come down pretty fast. Or maybe spread out to cover more popping area. Just thinking out loud.

I was a bit confused on the Type I mob. Should we just rotate which mob we're hitting, and don't go down past 10% until they're all ready to die?

I'll be discussing this in raid today. Although I have to say I am extremely pleased to see feedback and strategerizing without being explicitly prompted. Thank you, guys!
